Neusoft Corporation has realized the gap between talent training in universities and talent demand in IT industry in its rapid development process. The serious disconnection between talent supply and demand has given birth to Neusoft’s dream of running a school. Relying on Neusoft’s strong industrial gene and technological resources, since 2000, three IT application-oriented undergraduate universities have been established in Dalian, Chengdu, and Foshan with new system and mechanism, high starting point and high standard – Dalian Neusoft University of Information, Chengdu Neusoft University and Neusoft Institute Guangdong. Now there are more than 55,000 full-time students and more than 120,000 graduates, making positive contributions to promoting the development of IT industry in China. With the mission of “boost smart education with digital technologies，empower students with innovative education”, Neusoft education has built an application-oriented system that integrates industry and education. It has formed a running mechanism of school-enterprise cooperation and win-win cooperation and has creatively put forward and implemented the TOPCARES integrated talent training mode, developed a unique SOVO (Student Office & Venture Office) innovation and entrepreneurship education system with Neusoft characteristics, and built a large-scale integration of industry, learning and research. The University Science Park has adopted the group management mode of efficient operation and sharing, and implemented the unified education and teaching concept, method, mode, system and standard. Through the construction of first-class application-oriented specialty and high-level teacher team, application-oriented scientific research and social services, high-quality employment and entrepreneurship of students, the construction of beautiful and intelligent campus and the continuous improvement of the influence of the school brand, the three universities have been built into experimental fields for innovative education, research centers for educational methods and training bases for teachers’ skills of cooperative colleges, so as to realize the leading position of the three universities in China’s application-oriented universities.
In 2003, we became the first batch of 35 national demonstration software vocational technical colleges and became the chairman unit of the Dean’s Association. In 2005, we became the first private university in the country to win the first prize of national teaching achievements. In recent years, we has successively won the first batch of national teaching achievements, 50 universities with typical experience in innovation and entrepreneurship, and the first batch of 99 demonstration universities for deepening innovation and education reform in the country. Over more than 20 years since the establishment of the school, the quality of the three universities of Neuedu has been continuously improved, and the results have been continuously enriched. The brand has been widely recognized by all walks of life. A total of 25 majors have been selected into the "Double Ten Thousand Plan" for the construction of first-class undergraduate majors by the Ministry of Education, covering four major disciplines of engineering, management, art, and literature, covering more than 40% of the current students. Including 8 national-level first-class undergraduate major construction sites, all of which are digital technology-related majors. Among them, Dalian Neusoft University of Information ranks first in the list of private universities in the country; another 17 provincial-level first-class undergraduate major construction sites have been approved.
